My Fitness Travel Essentials: What I Can’t Live Without On The Road!

Thu, September 22, 2016

I wanted to share with all of you my fitness travelling essentials! These are the items I can’t live without while we are on the road in our RV, travelling all over the USA and Canada! Check out my absolute essential items, along with some tips on how you can incorporate these into your next holiday and stay healthy, fit and toned, anytime and absolutely anywhere!

Laptop

This is my on-the-go office! My laptop is now my one stop shop for answering all of your emails, posting our new content and bringing you blogs like these! I use a Macbook Pro, and it has been a fantastic, portable solution that has been an absolute essential for me! It’s also great for my Skype and FaceTime sessions with mum and Diggity!

iPad

I’ve been using my iPad to stream all of my workouts from the online studio! I have just enough space in the camper van for my daily morning workout and I’ve been following the 7 day weekly workout schedule along with all of you! It has been the absolute perfect solution for me, fitness is such a big part of my life and I’ve been so happy to maintain my daily workouts! If a laptop is not necessary for you, the iPad is a much more convenient solution!

iPhone

Because we are going to be travelling for an extended period of time, we chose to get ourselves American phone numbers for ease and convenience. I also have a month to month T-mobile prepaid internet plan, which has given me coverage not only all over the US, but also in Canada and Mexico. I’m on an unlimited $95 per month plan, just so I can ensure that your workouts get to you as we film them! Tim is on a cheaper option, and we have found it ideal for us as we are on the go every day! We stopped in at a T-mobile shop on our first week in New York and it only took 10 minutes to set up. A great option if you’re spending more than a month in the States!

Passport

Because I wouldn’t be here without it! I can’t stress enough how important it is to find a safe spot for your passport and to always return it to that spot, it saves a lot of stress! We have gone to Canada twice now and also to the French Caribbean island of St. Martin, so it has been essential to have it with me at all times. I love my Victoria’s Secret passport holder, it’s handy for holding boarding passes too!

Workout Notebook

This comes with me everywhere I go! My notebook is where I jot down all of my ideas, inspiration and choreography for our brand new workout videos for the online studio! On our long drives in the RV I’ve been doing a lot of plotting and planning for brand new workouts! I LOVE hearing from you guys and exactly what workouts you want to see, keep up the feedback because I want this to be your studio!

Valley Sunglasses

These have been an absolute staple now that we are filming every single workout outdoors! My brother and my sister-in-law bought these Valley ‘Orbis’ Sunglasses for me for my birthday and they are hands down the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned (and I’ve been through quite a few!) They remind me of the sunglasses Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany’s with a really funky shell design. I love them!

Bloch Workout Wear

A lot of the workout wear you have seen in our latest videos is from Bloch, I just can’t get enough of the colours and the designs from this Aussie Dance wear brand! The quality is exceptional and durable, exactly what I need for 6 months on the road! You can check out their latest releases here:

Magic Circle

Now onto my absolute essentials, my equipment! The best thing about all of the apparatus we use on the online studio is that it’s portable, so even on short trips you can take your gear and never skip a session! The Magic Circle is one of my favourite pieces of equipment, it’s so versatile and it burns so good! Click here to try a Magic Circle workout and find out exactly what it’s all about.

Resistance Band

This is the most convenient, lightweight and portable out of all the equipment, you can literally slip it in your handbag! This is the number one packing essential if you can only take one thing, you will always find space for a resistance band! It gives you a fantastic strength workout and really takes your workout to the next level. Click here to try a resistance band workout now.

Workout Mat

We picked this up once we were in the US, it’s an essential for me as I not only use it in all of our filming sessions, but also in the RV! If you’re really in a pinch I’ve used towels or even sometimes nothing at all, especially on hotel room floors!

Hand weights

This is something once again I picked up at Walmart once we were on the road, we had a LOT of luggage and every extra kg counts…so adding weights to our luggage was not really an option! However, they are going to be put to good use while I’m on the road, we have a handy storage compartment in the van where I’m keeping all of my equipment so these are a great addition. Ankle weights

Again, this is not something I recommend packing in your luggage, especially if you have weight limits and restrictions! However for me as a long term traveller, these pack away in the RV nicely and give me so much versatility with not only my workouts, but also the workouts we are filming for you! These were another great little find at Walmart, you can find anything you need there! Try this Ankle weight workout now, click here to view.
